24 April 1995 — fire destroys 25 buildings, the costume stock, the memorabilia, the 13,000 sq ft sound stage built in 1968, and the only copy of a short film documenting the studio's own history. Most structures were classified as temporary, so sprinklers were never required. The sound stage was never rebuilt.
